The Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery is the largest American military cemetery in Europe. It is located just east of the village of Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Meuse, France, approximately 26 mi/42 km northwest of Verdun. The cemetery and the American Monument at Montfaucon-d'Argonne, about seven mi/11 km south of the cemetery, are included in most battlefield tours commencing in Verdun.
