Claire McMahon, 85, of West Point died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30am Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Michael''s Cemetery. Guild, Catholic Daughters, and Christian Mothers Rosary will be 1:30pm Sunday, and Wake Service will be 6:00pm Sunday, both at Stokely Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Noon until 8:00pm Sunday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary''s Catholic Church, St. Francis Hospice, and Cuming County Relay for Life.
Claire Marie Rozmarin was born March 4, 1928 in Omaha to William and Clara (Nemec) Rozmarin. She grew up in Omaha, attended St. Wenceslaus grade school, graduated from St. Mary''s High School in 1946, and worked as a stenographer. On October 27, 1951, Claire married Alfred McMahon at St. Wenceslaus Church in Omaha. The couple lived in Omaha and Superior, and in 1964 they moved to West Point, where Claire worked part time at Marv''s 275 for 25 years.
Claire was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church, Guild, Catholic Daughters, and Christian Mothers. Among her favorite pastimes were working crossword puzzles, enjoying time with her children and grandchildren, and "shopping".
Survivors include her sons Michael (Jill) McMahon of Bellevue, Thomas (Karen) McMahon of West Point, and Mark (Gayle) McMahon of Wichita, KS; daughters Judy (Michael) Pilmaier of Bellevue, Susan Steffensmeier of Columbus, and Patty (Tim) Slagle of West Point; brother Francis (Rose Ann) Rozmarin of Omaha; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Claire was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred in 2002; brother William Rozmarin; sisters Gladys Kleine and Marcella Fister; and great-granddaughter Charlotte Render.

Marcella Lucille Fister, age 91, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City. Marcella Rozmarin was born on June 26, 1920, to William and Clara (Nemec) Rozmarin in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the Omaha schools, graduating from South High School in 1938. She continued her education at a business college in Omaha.
On April 22, 1946, Marcella was married to the love of her life, Paul Fister in Omaha. They we blessed with two sons, Paul and James.
They owned and operated Fister Department Store in Woodbine for five years and in Sac City from October 1959 to October 1983. Marcella enjoyed playing cards with her bridge club, enjoyed bowling and visiting her sons and grandchildren in Colorado. They wintered in Yuma, Arizona for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ladies Guild, and the Sac City Country Club.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; two sons: Paul Fister and wife Kathy and James Fister all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren: Mark Fister, Elizabeth Auger, Cathy Easton and husband Dave and Rebecca Fister; and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her brother, Francis Rozmarin and wife Rosanne of Omaha and sister, Claire McMahon of West Point, Nebraska; many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Mrs. Mary Nemec, 79, resident of Omaha 68 years, died this morning at her home, 1720 South Fifteenth street, after an illness of three days. Mrs. Nemec was born in Czecho-Slovakia.
Survivors: Sons, Dr. Charles J. Nemec, Edward F., and Joseph, all of Omaha; daughters, Mrs. John C. Nizocka [sic], Spencer, Neb., Mrs. Clara Rozmarin, Mrs. John Tesar and Louise, all of Omaha; brother, Joseph Ruzicka, Omaha, 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service: Saturday, 8:30 a.m., from Dworak-Chapuran chapel, to St. Wenceslaus church at 9; burial, St. Mary's cemetery. The rosary will be recited at the mortuary Wednesday afternoon at 2 by St. Mary's Altar society, at 2:30 by St. Anna's society, and at 3 by St. Elizabeth's society.

JOSEPH NEMEC DIES
Veteran Omaha Clothing Man Came Here In '72
Joseph Nemec, 68, 1720 South Fifteenth street, old time resident of Omaha, died Thursday at the St. Joseph's hospital following an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Nemec was born in Czechoslovakia, coming to America with his parents in 1872, and settling in Omaha. Since that time he has resided in Omaha, clerking in clothing stores of the city during the early years, and later engaging in business for himself. For ten years Mr. Nemec was with the Brandeis store, leaving in 1906 to open a clothing and furnishing store at 1316 William street.
In 1922 Mr. Nemec retired from active business, putting management of the store in his two sons, Edward and Joseph.
Surviving are the wife, three sons, Dr. Charles G. [sic], Edward and Joseph, and four daughters, Mrs. John C. Nozicka of California, Miss Louise, Mrs. William Rozmarin and Mrs. John Tesar of Omaha.
Funeral services will be held Monday at the residence.

Mr. Nemec had been a clothing merchant here. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Mary; sons, Richard and Edward, Jr., of Omaha; brothers Dr. C. J. Nemecand Joseph H. Nemec of Omaha; sisters, Mrs. John Noziska of Portersville, Cal.; Louise Nemec of Omaha and Mrs. William Rozmarin of Omaha.
The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Heafey & Heafey Farnam Street Funeral Home to Holy Cross Church at 9 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
