Alexander Alex was born on February 18, 1925 in Leduc, Alberta and passed away peacefully in his sleep in Edmonton on December 26, 2014. He was the youngest of eight siblings born to Anton and Catherine Senio. At an early age he was taught responsibility. This early lesson in life characterized his behaviour until his passing. Alex was an avid sports enthusiast and athlete. He played hockey and baseball until his late 30's. This was highlighted by an invitation to major league baseball's Boston Red Sox training camp as well as a tryout with the Cleveland Baron's professional hockey team. As time passed he continued with other sporting passions including golf, camping and attending football games. He was an Edmonton Eskimo season ticket holder for over fifty years and will be remembered for giving high fives after Eskimo touchdowns well into his eighties. He will be remembered by many qualities including his sense of hospitality, a dry sense of humour and wit, a passion for a well-manicured lawns and his involvement with grandchildren's activities. To provide for his family Alex worked as a professional accountant. He leaves his wife Loretta of sixty-two years; son Darryl (Janice); grandson Brian; granddaughter Katherine; his sister Millie and many nieces and nephews. Alex was predeceased by son Brian; parents Catherine and Anton; brothers Steve, Mike and Andrew and sisters Mary, Helen and Doris.
