SIKORA, Rose With sadness we announce the passing of Rose Sikora of Edmonton, daughter of the late John and Eva Sikora, on November 30, 2005 in her 92nd year. Rose is survived by her loving family, sister-in-law Jessie Sikora of Leduc and many nieces, nephews and friends. Rose was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Steve, John, Pete, Nicolas, Bill and Mike; and sisters, Mary Pinkoski, Annie Derkoch and Katie Wakaruk. Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Parish, 7007 - 109 Street, Edmonton. Divine Liturgy will be on Monday, December 5, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Parish, with the Basilian Fathers, OSBM, Celebrants. Interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Leduc. Donations in memory of Rose may be directed to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery Fund. MR. JOHN SIKORA
ON August 19, 1947, Mr. John Sikora of Calmar, Alberta passed away at the age of 86 years. He is survived by five sons, and four daughters, Steve of Mercoal, John and Pete of Calmar, Nick of Yellowknife, Bill of Tofield, Mrs. Mary Pinkowski [sic] of Calmar, Mrs. Ann Dercoch [sic] of Edmonton, Kate of Brittania Beach, B.C., Rose of Edmonton; also 17 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23 at 9 a.m. from the family residence to Holy Trinity Greek Catholic church Leduc. Prayer service will be held Friday, August 22, at 8 p.m. at the family residence. Rev. Father Chimev will officiate and interment will take place in the local church cemetery. Park Memorial Ltd., Funeral Administrators and Directors, the Chapel on the Boulevard.
