TOMYN, Georgina (nee Melnyk) December 5, 1918 - February 16, 2013 On Saturday, February 16, 2013 Georgina Tomyn of Vegreville, Alberta peacefully passed away at the age of 94 years. Georgina is survived by her loving children Anna, Harry (Kerry), Lillian (Don) and Ted (Gail); daughter-in-law Kathleen; six grandchildren Karen, Patricia (Brad), Maureen (Pat), Gene (Lisa), Silas (Amy) and Isaac (Sharissa); eight great-grandchildren Ali, Grant, Aaron, Sydney, Jayden, Maryssa, Zakariah and Emma; grand daughter-in-law Kim; one brother Bill (Anne); along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Georgina was predeceased by her husband Mike; one son Michael Jr.; one grandson Vincent Wesley; parents Fred and Annie Melnyk; siblings Sadie, Annie, Mary, Jim, Mike, Helen, Jean and Katie. A Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church - Vegreville, Alberta with the Basilian Fathers officiating. At Georgina's request cremation has taken place. Inurnment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
