HENDERSON, Ky. - Keith S. Davis, 65, formerly of Avoca, died Thursday, September 26, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Ky., following a lengthy illness.
He as born June 16, 1938, the son of David and Garguerite (Stafford) Davis.
He graduated from Needmore High School with the class of 1956.
Survivors include two sons: Michael D. Davis and William Davis, both of Henderson, Ky.; one sister, Reba Coats of Grayson, Ky.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Martin Luther Davis; and one brother, David "Davey" Davis.

Reba Marguerite Davis Coates, 75, of Grayson went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Reba was born December 22, 1947 in Bedford, IN a daughter of the late, David and Marguerite Stafford Davis. In addition to her parents, Reba was preceded in death by a daughter, Dr. Jamie Rachelle Coates; and two brothers, David Davis and Keith Davis. Reba graduated from Needmore High School, and attended Oakland City College, where she met the love of her life, Darrell. After college, Reba worked as a Civilian Employee with the US Navy working as a System Analyst. Reba was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ for over 35 years. Reba enjoyed cross-stitch, and loved to collect angels and bells. Reba is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James Darrell Coates; a daughter, Julia Marie (Brendon) Marting of Dayton, OH; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Davis of Clearwater, FL; special friends, Tonda and Amon Yates of Grayson; and several friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Oak Grove Church of Christ on Damron Branch in Grayson with Bro. Donald M. Damron and Bro. Bradley Cotten officiating. Dr. Jamie Rachelle Coates, 52, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Saturday February 20, 2021 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Jamie was born October 26, 1968 in Bedford, IN a daughter of James Darrell and Reba Davis Coates. Jamie graduated with a bachelor in Worship from KCU. Jamie later received a Masters degree from Kent State University and Doctorate of Worship Studies at Liberty University. Jamie was currently employed as an Assistant Professor of Worship at KCU, Director of KCU worship Collective at KCU and taught online courses with Liberty University. Jamie was the worship leader at Bridges Christian Church in Russell for over 18 years; and before that, served at Northside Christian Church in Wadsworth, OH for several years.
Including her parents Jamie is survived by a sister, Julia Marie (Brendon) Marting of Dayton, OH; and many friends and colleagues who all mourn her passing. Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday February 24, 2021 at the KCU Chapel with Bro. Greg Bondurant and Bro. Monty Cooper. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
