Clara Ellen Parham of Bedford, IN, died Friday, August 29, 2003, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on October 1, 1915, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Berlin and Goldia (Harrell) Stafford. She married J. Edward Parham on December 24, 1936, and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, James E. Parham of Maitland, FL; one daughter, Jane Smith of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Helen Grubb of Bedford, IN, and Rose Hardwick of Florida; and one brother, J. Eugene Stafford of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by one brother, Gordon Stafford; and two sisters, Marguerite Davis and Roberta Boruff.
For many years she was property manager for Presidential Estates in Madison, IN. She was a member of the First Christian Church and of the Eastern Star.
Services for Clara Ellen Parham will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 3rd, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. BEDFORD — Helen V. Grubb, 85, of Bedford, died at 8:40 p.m. Monday at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born Sept. 28, 1922, in Avoca, she was the daughter of Luther Berlin and Goldia C. (Harrell) Stafford. She married Homer Grubb Sr. on March 19, 1970 and he died on Sept. 15, 1999.
She had worked at RCA in Bloomington for 20 years and in the Parkview Primary School kitchen for 20 years.
She was a member of the Oolitic Methodist Church where she had served on the board and as song leader for many years.
Survivors include a son, Heubert Dennis Wells and wife Amelia of Bernillio, N.M.; a daughter, Virginia (Jinny) L. Richardson and husband Nate of Bedford; three grandsons: Andre´ Wells, Anthony Hill, Jason Hill and wife, Christi; three great-grandchildren: Austin, Olivia and Eliana Hill; a brother, Gene Stafford and wife Betty of Gallop, N.M.; a sister, Rose Hardwick and husband Paul of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; stepchildren: Homer Grubb Jr., Robert Grubb and wife Dee and Marilyn Davis all of Bedford; and two step grandchildren, Jim Grubb and Gina Roth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters: Marquerite Davis, Roberta Boruff and Clara Ellen Parham; one brother, Gordon Stafford; one step grandchild, Gary Grubb and a stepdaughter-in-law, Geneva Grubb.

Joyce Roberta Boruff, 81, of Bedford died at 2:08 p.m. Sunday at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.
Born Nov. 21, 1919 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Berline and Goldia (Harrell) Stafford. She married Berne Boruff March 2, 1939 and he died Feb. 21, 1996.
She retired from Dunn Memorial Hospital and attended the First Christian Church in Bedford.
Survivors include one grand-daughter, Kate Boruff of Frederick, Md.; one daughter-in-law, Julia Boruff Hale of St. Leonard, Md.; three sisters, Clara Ellen Parham and Helen Grubb, both of Bedford, and Rose Hardwick of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; one brother, Gene Stafford of Gallup, N.M.; one brother-in-law, Claude Boruff of Bedford; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Boruff; one brother, Gordon Stafford and one sister, Marguerite Davis.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Day & Carter Mortuary of Bedford, with the Rev. Robert Dailey officiating. Friends may call from noon until the service Thursday at the mortuary.
