- [S1176] Obituary of Dennis KUTA.
Dennis Kuta
SEPTEMBER 7, 1944 – AUGUST 8, 2016
It is with a profound sense of loss that the family of Dennis Kuta announces his peaceful passing on August 8, 2016.
He had a brief, but stoic battle with cancer throughout which he refused to give up hope.
Dennis is survived by his sisters, Betty (Ted) Gwozd of Spruce Grove and Sylvia Popik of Leduc,
by one niece, Karen (Anthony) Cornish and one nephew, Todd (Wendy) Gwozd, two aunts, Eileen Bucyk and Nellie Rubuliak,
as well as numerous cousins, grand nephews and a grand niece. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Mary and John Kuta of Thorsby.
Dennis will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man who was active in the church.
A remembrance of his life will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:30 pm at the Thorsby Community Centre.
Donations to Whitsuntide Church Cemetery or a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel, Leduc.
Dennis Gerald Kuta was born on September 7, 1944 to Mary and John Kuta of Thorsby. Dennis was the middle child, with two sisters, Betty and Sylvia.
Growing up, Dennis was a curious and active boy, often getting his sisters as accomplices in his many adventures.
This energy carried over into his love of many sports, including football, hockey and curling; all of which he enjoyed playing and watching.
Over the years Dennis had many jobs, beginning with a paper route and then a position at the local Nu-Way department store during High School. He worked for various other companies before finding his way to Westinghouse, where he stayed for many years. Dennis then moved on to the Woodwards’ warehouse; it was during this time that he started his longest lasting and favorite position, that of a farmer.
Active in the church, Dennis was a strong, practical and determined man. If something had to be done, he did it with zeal. Later in his life, Dennis devoted much of his time to helping his mom, a role that he loved and that they both appreciated.
Dennis will forever be remembered for his faith and determination, energy and positive attitude. He was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend.
Arrangements under the direction of Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel, Leduc, AB.
