FRANK P. BREZNY
GARBER - Recitation of the Rosary for Frank P. Brezny, 74, will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Parks Funeral Home Chapel in Prague. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
The Rev. Louis Vander Ley, OSB, will officiate at the rites. Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery at Breckinridge at 3 p.m., under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home of Garber.
Brezny died late Sunday afternoon in an Enid hospital. He was born Aug. 8, 1906, in Collinsville, the son of Rose and Charles Brezny, and spent most of his life in Prague.
He and Helen Seftak [sic] were married there Feb. 24, 1945. They lived on a farm east of Prague until moving to Yukon in 1966. The Breznys moved to Garber in 1974 where he worked for Mid-Continent Co-Op.
Brezny was a member of the Catholic Church at Billings.
He is survived by his wife Helen of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Eldon (Georgena) Maly and her children, Joan, Chris and Matthew, Garber; two sisters, Mary Grimes of Pauls Valley and Mrs. Johnnie (Helen) Gregory, Prague; two brothers, Charley Brezny and Henry Brezny, both of Prague. Another sister died earlier.
This who wish may make contributions to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Heart Fund in memory of Brezny. Anderson's will serve as custodian of the memorial fund.

Mass of Christian Burial for Georgena Maly, 76 of Garber, will be Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 12 noon in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Reverend Mark Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Breckenridge. Recitation of the Rosary will be Monday evening, at 6:00 pm at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Georgena was born on February 4, 1948 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Frank and Helen (Sestak) Brezny and passed away on January 29, 2025 in Enid.
She grew up in Prague and graduated from Prague High School in 1966. Georgena met the love of her life, Paul Maly, at the Yukon Czech Hall. They married on January 21, 1967 and celebrated 58 years of marriage. They lived in Woodward, before building their forever home on the family farm near Garber. They enjoyed dancing Saturday nights at the Czech Hall. They were blessed with four children, Joan, Chris, Matthew and Joshua. Georgena worked for several years at the Cherokee Strip Transit. She was a dedicated farmer’s wife, running machinery and taking meals to the field. In her later years, she watched the grandkids ride the combines.
Georgena was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Enid.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chris; parents and infant brother.
She is survived by her husband, Paul of the home; daughter, Joan (Bill) Dunlap and their children, Kyle and Shelby of Enid; son, Matthew (Amanda) and children, Mackenzie (Andrew), Caleb, Garrett, Devon, Bailey of Shawnee; son, Joshua (Lora) and children, Hannah, Justin, Logan, Isabella and Kamdyn of Garber; Chris’s children, Tyler (Anna), Derek, Craig and Kirsten; 9 great grandchildren; many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial for Chris Maly, 51, of Garber, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Rev. Mark Mason celebrant. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Breckinridge, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral home. Recitation of the Rosary will be Monday evening at 6 at the funeral home, with the Knights of Columbus leading.
Chris was born July 11, 1970, in Enid to Paul and Georgena Brezny Maly and died on January 20, 2022, in Enid.
He grew up on the family farm near Garber and graduated from Garber High School in 1988. Chris went to OSU Technology Center in Okmulgee on a full scholarship and graduated December 1990 with an associate's degree in Diesel Technology. Chris worked for American Implement and P&K Equipment until going to work for Yellowhouse Machinery.
Chris joined the Knights of Columbus at the age of 18 and served as Grand Knight two consecutive terms. Chris joked that he had to step down as he had two kids at the time that he served as Grand Knight. In 2000, Chris and his family returned to the farm and built their home where he would bring home two more children.
Family was the most important thing to Chris. He even brought his kids to volunteer at the Knights' events. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, listening to music and celebrating his Czech heritage. Anyone who knew Chris knew that he was always there to lend a hand whenever needed.
Chris is survived by his wife, Valerie; children, Tyler and wife Anna, Derek, Craig and Kirsten; grandson, Wyatt; parents, Paul and Georgena Maly; brothers, Matt Maly, Joshua Maly and wife Lora; sister and husband, Joan and Bill Dunlap; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Paul was born September 2, 1943 in Enid, Oklahoma to Paul and Otilla (Novak) Maly and passed away on September 11, 2025 at Garber.
He grew up in Garber and graduated from Garber High School in 1961. Paul then went to University of Central Oklahoma, graduating in 1965. Paul met the love of his life, Georgena Brezny, at the Yukon Czech Hall. They married on January 21, 1967 and celebrated 58 years of marriage. They lived in Woodward, before building their forever home on the family farm near Garber. They enjoyed dancing Saturday nights at the Czech Hall. They were blessed with four children, Joan, Chris, Matthew and Joshua. Paul was an insurance agent for Oklahoma Farmers Union for 36 years. He was a farmer and rancher.
Paul was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Enid, and the Knights of Columbus, Council 1044. He was a member of the #1 Oklahoma Polka Club.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Georgena on January 29, 2025; son, Chris, and his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Joan (Bill) Dunlap and their children, Kyle and Shelby of Garber; son, Matthew (Amanda) and children, Mackenzie (Andrew), Caleb, Garrett, Devon, Bailey of Prague; son, Joshua (Lora) and children, Hannah, Justin, Logan, Isabella and Kamdyn of Garber; Chris’s children, Tyler (Anna), Derek, Craig and Kirsten; 9 great grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Noteware and Helen Shriver; and many friends.
