JOHN KLANECKY
Funeral services were held on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in the Hastings-Pearson Mortuary for John Klanecky, who died June 16. Rev. Keith A. Shepherd will officiate and Mrs. Leslie Nash will sing, "Lead, Kindly Light", and "Holy Spirit, Faithful Guide", with Mrs. Orin Kellison at the organ. Pallbearers will be Fred, Skala, Sr., Ed Tvrdik, Len Covert, Vincent Vodehnal, Frank and Anton Adamek. Burial will be in the Bohemian National cemetery with Hastins-Pearson Mortuary in charge of the arrangements.
John Klanecky was born in Omaha, Nebr., on April 18, 1878. While young, he and his parents moved to a farm northeast of Sargent, Nebr.
On November 22, 1905, he was united in marriage to Fannie Tuma of Elba, Nebr. To this union was born three children.
Mr. and Mrs. Klanecky lived on the farm at Sargent until the death of Mrs. Klanecky in 1935. In 1936, he and his family moved to a farm seven miles west of Ord. In 1944 he retired from farming and moved to Ord, where he worked as a common laborer until about a year ago when his health began to fail.
He departed this life on June 16, at the Ord hospital, at the age of 74 years, one month and 18 days. Death was caused by a heart ailment.
He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Adolph, Arcadia, Nebr., and one daughter, Eva of Ord; two grand children, three half-sisters, Mrs. Louise Visek, Sargent; Mrs. Anna Kment, Cotesfield; Mrs. Mary Rybin, Omaha; two half brothers, Ed and Henry Klanecky of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one infant daughter and three brothers.
