    • 06 Apr 2022 - No record of the marriage of Marie and Elmer can be found on ancestry.com. However, records of Elmer being married to another individual are plentiful. Additionally, the marriage date we had entered for Marie and Elmer turned out to be the date of her marriage to Pat DAILEY.

      Elmer's name and the (incorrect) marriage date come from the original family tree in the Histories section of the online tree.

      Despite the anomalies, Marie's surname at the time of death was MONTI and the dates from various sources do align.

      ELMER FLORINTINE MONTI

      Elmer Florintine Monti (Bud) the youngest child was born on May 11 [sic], 1911 in Sonoma County, California. On November 15, 1934 he married Ino Knopf. They lived in San Rafael where they had a daughter, Margaret and a son, William (Billy).

      Elmer or Bud as he was known, operated a service station for Texaco for a number of years at 4th and Irwin in San Rafael until he was able to purchase his own station across 4th Street. He operated it as the San Rafael Service Station until his retirement.

      After many years of marriage, Bud and Ino were divorced and Bud married Marie Melrose in 1967.

      Bud and Marie were living in Mill Valley when he passed away suddenly February 5 [sic], 1989.

      Bud's first wife Ino Zarella Knopf's great grandfather was Don Salvador Vallejo, the brother of the famous General Mariano G. Vallejo of California history.
