Notes - 06 Jan 2024 - Searching ancestry.com for "grace manual angus 1880" and "grace abshire 1880" will reveal many matches. It appears that Grace married George Albert Abshire (b. 1872, d. 1943, b. Mount Hope, Akron) in 1896, which is coincidentally the same year that (what would be) her nephew George Albert Abshire was born to her sister Virginia. There is a 1954 Summit County marriage record for a George Albert Abshire (b. 1905) who is the son of George and Grace. This would mean that Virginia and Grace had identically named sons. As little is known about Grace for now we will simply document all of this until it can be proved further at a later date. Grace's family is also easily found on the 1900 census in Powellton, Fayette, WV. They are also easily found on the 1910 census (which includes George, Jr.) in Falls (sp?) Magistorial District.
As a possible alternative, there is a 19 May 1908 WV birth index record for a child "Ailiff" who was born to Thomas Ailiff and Grace M Angus.
