Claire McMahon, 85, of West Point died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30am Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Michael''s Cemetery. Guild, Catholic Daughters, and Christian Mothers Rosary will be 1:30pm Sunday, and Wake Service will be 6:00pm Sunday, both at Stokely Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Noon until 8:00pm Sunday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary''s Catholic Church, St. Francis Hospice, and Cuming County Relay for Life.
Claire Marie Rozmarin was born March 4, 1928 in Omaha to William and Clara (Nemec) Rozmarin. She grew up in Omaha, attended St. Wenceslaus grade school, graduated from St. Mary''s High School in 1946, and worked as a stenographer. On October 27, 1951, Claire married Alfred McMahon at St. Wenceslaus Church in Omaha. The couple lived in Omaha and Superior, and in 1964 they moved to West Point, where Claire worked part time at Marv''s 275 for 25 years.
Claire was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church, Guild, Catholic Daughters, and Christian Mothers. Among her favorite pastimes were working crossword puzzles, enjoying time with her children and grandchildren, and "shopping".
Survivors include her sons Michael (Jill) McMahon of Bellevue, Thomas (Karen) McMahon of West Point, and Mark (Gayle) McMahon of Wichita, KS; daughters Judy (Michael) Pilmaier of Bellevue, Susan Steffensmeier of Columbus, and Patty (Tim) Slagle of West Point; brother Francis (Rose Ann) Rozmarin of Omaha; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Claire was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred in 2002; brother William Rozmarin; sisters Gladys Kleine and Marcella Fister; and great-granddaughter Charlotte Render.

Marcella Lucille Fister, age 91, of Sac City, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City. Marcella Rozmarin was born on June 26, 1920, to William and Clara (Nemec) Rozmarin in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the Omaha schools, graduating from South High School in 1938. She continued her education at a business college in Omaha.
On April 22, 1946, Marcella was married to the love of her life, Paul Fister in Omaha. They we blessed with two sons, Paul and James.
They owned and operated Fister Department Store in Woodbine for five years and in Sac City from October 1959 to October 1983. Marcella enjoyed playing cards with her bridge club, enjoyed bowling and visiting her sons and grandchildren in Colorado. They wintered in Yuma, Arizona for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ladies Guild, and the Sac City Country Club.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; two sons: Paul Fister and wife Kathy and James Fister all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren: Mark Fister, Elizabeth Auger, Cathy Easton and husband Dave and Rebecca Fister; and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her brother, Francis Rozmarin and wife Rosanne of Omaha and sister, Claire McMahon of West Point, Nebraska; many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Marcella Rozmarin was born on June 26, 1920, to William and Clara (Nemec) Rozmarin in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the Omaha schools, graduating from South High School in 1938. She continued her education at a business college in Omaha.

Thomas J. McMahon, 67, of West Point, died Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point. Funeral Mass will be 10:30am on Monday, October 24 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with Rev. Matt Niggemeyer as celebrant. Tom’s wishes were for everyone attending the funeral service to wear their favorite sports team attire (No Yankees Gear!). Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 5:00pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Mary Brunsing Pre-School Foundation or the American Legion Baseball Program. Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.
Thomas Joseph McMahon was born September 20, 1955, in Omaha to Al and Claire (Rozmarin) McMahon. The family moved to West Point in 1964, where Tom attended Guardian Angels Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1973. That same year, Tom began working at the West Point Post Office where he was employed until 1999. On April 19, 1975, Tom and Karen Brunsing were united in marriage at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Aloys.
Tom enjoyed sports, ALL sports, and began working part-time at KTIC Radio Station in West Point in 1985 as a Sports Broadcaster. He became Sports Director for the station in 1997, serving in that position until 2017. Thousands of people have listened to Tom announce area sports events and he is remembered for the excellent broadcasts he provided. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox since the age of twelve and could track the scores of multiple games of various teams, using the television, computer, phone and listening on the radio at the same time. His area sports knowledge was evident in any conversation, and he was known for calling in the scores to the radio station to keep everyone current. Tom loved golfing, fishing, being a referee for basketball and football and umpiring baseball.
Tom was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he served on parish council, Knights of Columbus, and President of Central Catholic Booster Club. He was also a member of AA – celebrating 39 years of sobriety. He developed “Team Up with Tom”, an essay writing contest for High School students that focused on being alcohol and drug free. The winner was honored to broadcast a game with Tom on the radio. His biggest fandom was of his grandchildren – following all their activities and waiting for updates about all of their goings-on.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, of West Point; daughters, Stacey (Phil) Haussler of Omaha and Kristi (Ryan) Logemann of West Point; grandchildren, McCoy, Lincoln, and Grady Haussler and Boston, Baylor, Brigham, and Indy Logemann; sisters, Judy (Mike) Pilmaier of Bellevue, Susan Steffensmeier of Omaha, and Patty (Tim) Slagle of West Point; sisters-in-law, Jill (Mike Van Meter) McMahon of Omaha and Gayle McMahon of Wichita, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Hubert and Josephine Brunsing; brothers, Mike and Mark McMahon; sister-in-law, Mary Brunsing; and niece, Erin McMahon.
