On Saturday, January 14, 2012, Walter Halwa of Leduc, Alberta passed away at the age of 92 years. Walter is survived by his loving family, wife of 63 years Leona, children Annette (Richard) Bell, Alan (Connie) and Valerie (Kurt Osterman) Anderson, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters Stella Manchak and Millie (Ernie) Borchert; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Walter was predeceased by one daughter Cecilia Vogel, one grandson Marcus Anderson, two sisters Tillie Adams and Helen Halwa. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (25521 Highway 19) with Reverend James Bodula, SAC as Celebrant.
