With sadness we announce the passing of Audrey Spilak of Edmonton, formerly of Calmar on September 14, 2011 at the age of 76 years. Audrey is survived by her loving family: Jerry (Geri), grandchildren Lynn (Jason) Graafland and Amber (Andrew) Sibbald and her great-granddaughter Kristen Olivia Sibbald, son-in-law Blair Gitzel, sisters-in-law: Alice Stepanko and Emily (Melvin) Metke as well as nieces, a nephew and numerous relatives and friends. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Mike in 2006, her daughter Peggy Spilak in 2010, brother Wayne Stepanko, niece Pearl Peever, her parents, John and Verna Stepanko and parents-in-law George and Anne Spilak.
Diving Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, Septebmer 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church (one mile east of Calmar on Highway #39, then two miles north on Range Road #265) with Basilian Fathers OSBM as Celebrants. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mr. Blair Gitzel at the age of 60 years.Blair will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his partner Anna Stepien and her family, his father Marvin, his siblings: Marlaina, Bruce and Larry (Candace), brother-in-law Jerry (Ger) Spilak as well as numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Peggy in 2010 and by his mother Frieda in 2012.A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the South Side Memorial Chapel, 8310 - 104 Street.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Blair may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
