KARABONIK, Harold Michael
On August 31, 2013, Harold passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 68 years.
Harold will be remembered by his three children, Mark (Bianca), Sue (Kevin) and Craig (Cassandra); five grandchildren, Nolan, Natalie, Kayla, Emry and Reed; brother Allen, sister Elizabeth (Clement) Riou , brother-in-law Andy as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends. Harold was predeceased by his sister Irene and parents Michael and Eva.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church (5 km west of Leduc on Hwy 39 and then north on to 50303 Rge Rd 260) with interment to follow in church cemetery.
In memory of Harold donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

Clement Riou
Clement Michel Joseph Riou was born on November 18, 1933, in Arborfield, Saskatchewan, and passed away peacefully on December 26, 2019, in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 86.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elizabeth (nee Karabonik); son Michel (Erin); daughter Lisa (Colleen); and grandchildren, Courtnée, Megan, and Mackenna. He is also survived by his sisters, Denise, Lucille, Jeanette, Diane, Louise, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He is predeceased by his mother Marie Jeanne Riou (nee LeBras) and father, Jean Marie Riou, as well as siblings, Gerard (Gerry), Marie-Anne, Julien, John, and Laurent (Larry).
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Clem was a dedicated Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and spent many of his weekends watching CFL football. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humour, love of football, storytelling, and penchant for crib, wordsearch, and sudoku.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Catholic Parish of Corpus Christi, 2707 – 34 St NW, Edmonton on Monday January 6th, 2020, at 11:00 am. Interment will take place during the summer of 2020 in Arborfield, Saskatchewan.
If friends so desire, a donation may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Catholic Parish of Corpus Christi, or a charity of their choice.
The family would like to thank the staff of Grey Nuns and University of Alberta Hospitals for their support, care, and compassion over the past year.
