      LIS, William (Bill)

      It is with sadness we announce the passing of William (Bill) Lis of Edmonton on November 13, 2003 at the age of 87 years. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Irene on November 2, 2003.

      Bill is survived by his loving son, Rod Lis of Edmonton, his sister Bessie Chrunik of Edmonton, also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was also predeceased by his parents, William and Femka Lis, brothers; Mike, Steve, John and Alex Lis and sisters; Annie Bara, Millie Turtle, Tina Archie and Mary.

      Prayers will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Chapel, (9810 - 34 Avenue), Edmonton. Divine Liturgy on Monday, November 17, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church (3 miles west of Highway 2 on Highway 19 to Devon), with Reverend Igor Kisil officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

      Donations in memory of Bill may be made to St. Mary's Church Building Fund, the University of Alberta Foundation (Alberta Heart Institute) Rm. 1H1.91WMC, 8440 - 112 Street, Edmonton, AB.
