- [S1413] Obituary of Marno SEKORA.
Marno Sekora
November 8, 1952 - July 12, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marno Sekora, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished father-in-law, proud grandfather, and loyal friend, who left this world peacefully on July 12, 2025 after a courageous battle with a rare and
aggressive form of cancer. He was 72 years old.
Marno was a man defined by quiet strength, selflessness, and a deep love for his family and community. He spent his life giving to others offering his time, his wisdom, and his heart without hesitation. Whether he was lending a hand to a neighbor, offering guidance to a loved one, or simply showing up when it mattered most, he made an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He faced his illness with remarkable grace and courage, always more concerned for the well-being of those around him than for his own. Even in his most difficult days, he continued to be a source of comfort, humor, and strength.
Marno’s legacy is one of love, humility, and generosity. He lived a life that mattered, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Grey Nuns Hospital - in the Palliative care unit, for their kindness, support and care shown to Marno during his stay.
The family would like to also extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers at Roozen Family Hospice Centre who gave the care and attention to Marno during his time there.
