      LITWINOWICH, John William October, 1933 - July, 2009 After a brief and extraordinary battle with cancer, John passed away with his love at his side. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 58 years, Thelma; three sons, Stuart (Rosalie), David (Lynn) and Bruce (Cheryl); three grandchildren, Joshua, Jesse (Candace) and Austin; step-grandchildren, Stephanie and Jennifer; step-great-grandchildren Tyson and Logan. John was predeceased by his parents, William and Katherine; and his sister, Kathleen. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810-34 Avenue, Edmonton. Respecting John's request, a private family funeral will follow on July 31, 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arts and Medicine Program at the Cross Cancer Institute.
