Georgia was born May 15, 1923, in Killam, Alberta, Canada. She was married to Donald G. Bennett until his death two years ago. Georgia moved to the United States in 1954 and worked as a registered nurse at Tri-State Hospital until taking a position as the medical records supervisor, where she remained until her retirement. Georgia and Don were musicians around the valley and in the Airstream club for many years. She was an accomplished keyboard player.
Georgia is survived by her five children: Bonnie Thomas, Dale (Pam) Bennett of Lewiston, Brian (Donna) Bennett, Raye Bennett of Clarkston and Dave (Tenna Pennick) Bennett of Gifford; six grandchildren: Tonya (Wayne Brooks) Thomas, Tracy (Diane) Bennett, Stephanie (James Nida) Bennett of Lewiston, Dusty Bennett of Colorado, Ryan (Rhiannon) Bennett of Missouri, and Jaime (Pakie) Roche of New York; and seven great-great-grandchildren as well as another due to be born this week.
Georgia spent the last two years as a resident at Royal Plaza and performed with lifelong friend, Colleen Friddle, for events at the facility.
"Life is like a piano. . . What you get out of it depends on how you play it." Well played, Georgia, well played!
A private family memorial will be held.

Dale Bennett, age 62, passed away at his home in Lewiston on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. He was born May 20, 1955, in Clarkston, to Don and Georgia Bennett. He was the youngest of five children.
Dale graduated from Clarkston High School in 1973. He spent time working for his uncle at Guy Bennett Lumber Co. He then worked for the city of Lewiston, starting in traffic control on April 2, 1974. He moved into leading equipment foreman in 1985 and became street maintenance supervisor in 2000, before ultimately retiring on Jan. 6, 2011. He very much enjoyed his colleagues and friends during his time at the city of Lewiston. One of his fondest memories was coordinating the annual summer camp out for the street department crew and their families.
Dale's family was quite musical and he followed that path in his love for the drums. Over the years, he played drums with his mom and dad and many other local musicians. He became one of the founding members of Coltrain and continued to play until 2000, when he retired from the band. One of the culminating events during his time with Coltrain was when the band was selected to compete nationally at the Jimmy Dean Country Showdown Classic in Miami in 1996. They finished sixth in the nation out of 10,000 contestants.
While growing up, a favorite memory was vacationing with his family on a cabin cruiser in Canada. While in his 20s, he became an avid hang glider. His hang gliding "brothers' " favorite memory was seeing a country boy wearing a cowboy hat turn into a daredevil, adrenaline junky when he strapped on his helmet and hooked into his glider.
Dale enjoyed fishing, target shooting and anything outdoors, especially recreational vehicle camping and four-wheeling with family and friends in Clarkia every summer.
Dale is survived by his wife, Pamella Bennett, at their home in Lewiston; and also by sisters Bonnie Bennett Thomas of Lewiston and Raye Bennett of Clarkston; brothers Dave (Teena) Bennett of Clarkston and Brian (Donna) Bennett of Clarkston. Dale's parents, Don and Georgia Bennett, preceded him in death.
Dale was a friend to all and will be greatly missed. In his memory, donations may be made to Helping Hands Rescue, P.O. Box 1975, Lewiston, ID 83501.
A celebration of Dale's life will be held later this summer for family and friends. Details will be announced in the Lewiston Tribune.
