RUZICKA, Evelyn February 22, 1916 - August 25, 2012 Evelyn Victoria Ruzicka passed peacefully in the night to join her husband, Joseph Ruzicka; daughter, Diane Lloyd; son, Lorne Ruzicka; brothers, Lloyd and Don Powell and sisters, June Simons and Jane Powell. She was 96 years old. She will be missed and remembered for her strength, independence, cinnamon rolls, and being the best "Grandma" ever. She loved spending her summers out at Pigeon Lake. Evelyn is survived by her son, Bob Ruzicka (Suzanne Mir); daughter, Lynne Ruzicka (Tom Owen); sister, Lois MacKay (Bill); brother, Larry Powell; grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Evelyn's family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of 11Y at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, and the staff of the 5th floor in Rosedale Estates.
