      He leaves to mourn, his wife, Kate; two daughters and six sons, Mrs. Victo (Leona) Checknita, Edmonton; Mrs. Andrew (Clara) Senio, Calmar; Marvin, Kenneth and Norman, Edmonton; Reginald and Eldon, Leduc; Bernard, Brooks, Alberta; 30 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Manchak and Mrs. Victoria Krysa, Edmonton. Mr. Bara was predeceased by his first wife, Anne in 1953; sons, Edward in 1928 and Edwin in 1980 as well as two sisters, Mrs. Kate (Manchak) Halwa and Mrs. Anne Spilak and three brothers, Luke, John and Albert.

      Prayers, Sunday, January 3, 1982, in the Wild Rose Chapel of Connelly-McKinley Ltd., 10011 114 Street, at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, January 4, 1982, at Holy Trinity Church, Nisku, at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Thaddeus Rataj will officiate with interment in the Church Cemetery.

Victor is survived by his loving wife, Mariya; three loving children, Marlene (Terri), Spruce Grove, Lawrence and Melvin, Edmonton; grandchildren, Kevin, Alexander, Allison (Nuno), Abigail, Shannon and Troy; nine great-grandchildren; brother, John (Mary) Checknita; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Leona. Prayers Monday, February 22 at 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Reception Centre, 11015 - 101 Street. Divine Liturgy Tuesday, February 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 7007 - 109 Street. Basilian Fathers officiating with interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Basilian Fathers House of Studies, 12909 - 113 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5M 2W8.
