      On December 30, 1981, Mr. Michael F. Bara, Leduc, Alberta, passed away aged 89 years.

      He leaves to mourn, his wife, Kate; two daughters and six sons, Mrs. Victo (Leona) Checknita, Edmonton; Mrs. Andrew (Clara) Senio, Calmar; Marvin, Kenneth and Norman, Edmonton; Reginald and Eldon, Leduc; Bernard, Brooks, Alberta; 30 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Manchak and Mrs. Victoria Krysa, Edmonton. Mr. Bara was predeceased by his first wife, Anne in 1953; sons, Edward in 1928 and Edwin in 1980 as well as two sisters, Mrs. Kate (Manchak) Halwa and Mrs. Anne Spilak and three brothers, Luke, John and Albert.

      Prayers, Sunday, January 3, 1982, in the Wild Rose Chapel of Connelly-McKinley Ltd., 10011 114 Street, at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, January 4, 1982, at Holy Trinity Church, Nisku, at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Thaddeus Rataj will officiate with interment in the Church Cemetery.

      On Wednesday, November 10, 1999 Reg Bara of Leduc passed away suddenly at the age of 67 years.

      Reg is survived by his loving wife, Jenny and two sons, Brian of Leduc, Barry (Sheelagh) of Edmonton; three granddaughters, Meredith, Natalie and Meaghan; one sister, Clara of Calmar; three brothers, Bernard (Rosemarie) of Okotoks, Eldon (Patricia) and Kenneth (Lois) both of Leduc and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Anne; one sister, Leona and three brothers, Edwin, Marvin and Norman.

      Prayers will be held on Sunday, November 14, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Leduc (5105 - 45A Street). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 15, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Nisku (four miles west on Highway #19 from Highway #2) with Reverend Frank Laverty, CSSp as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Bara was predeceased by a daughter Margaret in 1959 and a son, Edward in 1974.

      Prayers Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home. Rev Charles Nearing will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial thursday, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Heart (98 St & 76 Ave) followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.

      Stefan Bara died in Leduc 28 April 1935 and was survived by four sons, Mike of Leduc, Albert of Calmar, John of Leduc and Louis at home; four daughters, Kate, Annie, Agnes and Victoria, all of Calmar. (E.J. 9 May 1935.)
