      Loretta Vivian Senio

Loretta was born on June 14, 1933, in Edmonton, Alberta and passed away peacefully in her sleep in Edmonton on September 9, 2022.

She was the youngest of three siblings born to Peter and Rose Hamula. These characteristics were smoothly tempered by unconditional love and faith. The traits persisted from early life until her passing.

Loretta enjoyed life by keeping busy. This started at the age of twelve when she took up baking. Among her favorites was cookies. Her other passions included golf, skating camping and cats. Later in life she kept active through aqua-size swimming and hosting many sleepovers for the grandchildren. To support her family Loretta was a devoted wife, homemaker and compassionate mother and grandmother. She also was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for over fifty years and did some part time market research work.

She will be remembered as being a loyal matriarch and fun friend who was self-reliant and courageous. She stood as a faith filled model of grace, acceptance and love who had the ability to assist others and give back in many meaningful ways. Loretta leaves her son Darryl (Janice), grandson Brian, granddaughter Katherine and many nieces and nephews. Loretta was predeceased by husband Alex, son Brian, parents Peter and Rose Hamula and brothers Edmund and Marion Hamula.
