ROSE, Tove
On March 6, 2022, Tove Drude Rose (nee Skarsten) passed away peacefully at Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey, BC after a 2 year fight with Breast Cancer. She was born on June 25, 1946 in Kristiansand, Norway, moved to Vancouver, with her family in 1958, and became a Canadian citizen in 1963. Tove and Don Rose were married on November 26, 1966, and had 2 children, Tanya and Terry. She worked as a Bank Teller for many years, ran a Children's Clothing Store with her daughter Tanya for 10 years, and worked as Retail Sales Associate before retiring. After retiring she volunteered at the Sunny Hill Children's Hospital thrift store. She enjoyed many hobbies and activities including ceramics, camping, and thrifting. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Tove was predeceased by her parents Sigurd and Gerd (Joyce) Skarsten, sister Kyrstal Patterson, in-laws Lawrence and Margaret Rose, brothers-in-law John Tronstad and Bill Rose, and her niece Lizzie Mikkelsen. She is survived by her loving family, her husband Don, her sister Wenche Tronstad, her daughter Tanya (David), her son Terry, her grandchildren, Jonah, Kai and Savannah, brother- in-law Ernie (Irene), and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
