[6] - We have John RUZICKA showing up on Los Angeles county voter registrations between 1938 and 1944 - yet he and the family were enumerated in Oregon in 1940. However, examination of that census record appears to show they were counted at Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp Applegate BR-42 that operated in the Rogue River National Forest between 1933 and 1941. Possibly a temporary residence for the family?

Joseph John, the third child in a family of ten children of Josephine Nohajl [sic] and John William Ruzicka, was born on August 4, 1882 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was baptized about two weeks later at Saint Philomina's Cathedral (later rebuilt and named Saint Cecilia's Cathedral) under the name of Rose as well as Ruzicka.
