With sad hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Senio on August 7, 2012 - five days shy of his 90th birthday.
Michael will be mourned by his loving wife, Rose; sons, Allan, Raymond (Mary Lou), Dennis (Candice) and Mark (Lori); grandchildren, Greg (Susan), Kathryn, Jason (Jaclyn), Ryan (Tenille), Kyle (Lynette), Brandi (John), Kevin and Dean; great- grandchildren, Carly, Sawyer, Gage, Maraya and Connor; as well as three siblings, extended family and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents and four siblings.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:00 am at Connelly- McKinley Sherwood Park - Mill Woods Chapel, 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton (Meridian Street can only be accessed from the Anthony Henday southbound, 1 km south of the Sherwood Park Freeway).

With deep sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of Allan Michael Senio. Allan will be dearly missed by his brothers, Dennis (Candice), Mark (Lori), sister-in-law, Mary-Lou and many nieces and nephews. Allan was predeceased by his best friend/brother Raymond and his parents, Rose and Michael Senio. A celebration of Allan's life will be announced at a later date. On October 30, 1983 Mr. Atanas Senio of the Jubilee Nursing Lodge, Edmonton, formerly of Calmar passed away at the age of 90 years.
Survived by 4 sons and four daughters, Stephen and Bernadette of Edmonton, Andrew and Clara of Calmar, Michael and Rose, Alex and Loretta of Edmonton, Mrs. Mary Yerkovich of Mrs. Helen (John) Evanson of Vancouver, B.C.; Mrs. Millie Hannas and her husband Fred of Leduc, Mrs. Doris Manchak of Calmar; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Katherine in 1934 and two grandsons.
Prayers Wednesday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Triniy Ukrainian Catholic Church in Calmar. Divine Liturgy Thursday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Calmar. Reverend S. Kuzel OSBM officiating with interment in the church cemetery, Calmar. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 1 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Funeral Home (9709 - 111 Avenue). On June 1, 2018, Rose Senio peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family. Rose was predeceased in 2012 by her husband Mike. She is survived by her four sons, Allan, Raymond (Mary Lou), Dennis (Candice) and Mark (Lori); grandchildren, Greg (Susan), Kathryn, Jason, Ryan, Kyle (Lynette), Brandi (John), Kevin (Kara) and Dean; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Gage, Maraya, Connor, Claire and Max. Rose is also survived by one brother and predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Connelly- McKinley Edmonton South Chapel, 4820 Meridian Street NW, Edmonton. (From 17 street, head EAST on 76 avenue. Stay on that road until you get to Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Connelly-McKinley is located on the west side of the cemetery.)

SENIO, J. Alexander
Alex was born on February 18, 1925 in Leduc, Alberta and passed away peacefully in his sleep in Edmonton on December 26, 2014.
He was the youngest of eight siblings born to Anton and Catherine Senio.
At an early age he was taught responsibility. This early lesson in life characterized his behaviour until his passing.
Alex was an avid sports enthusiast and athlete. He played hockey and baseball until his late 30's. This was highlighted by an invitation to major league baseball's Boston Red Sox training camp as well as a tryout with the Cleveland Baron's professional hockey team.
As time passed he continued with other sporting passions including golf, camping and attending football games. He was an Edmonton Eskimo season ticket holder for over fifty years and will be remembered for giving high fives after Eskimo touchdowns well into his eighties.
He will be remembered by many qualities including his sense of hospitality, a dry sense of humour and wit, a passion for a well-manicured lawns and his involvement with grandchildren's activities.
To provide for his family Alex worked as a professional accountant.
He leaves his wife Loretta of sixty-two years; son Darryl (Janice); grandson Brian; granddaughter Katherine; his sister Millie and many nieces and nephews.
Alex was predeceased by son Brian; parents Catherine and Anton; brothers Steve, Mike and Andrew and sisters Mary, Helen and Doris.
Reverend Mitch Fidyka will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption Catholic Church, 9040 - 95 Avenue, Edmonton, on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with interment at St. Joachim's Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Brian Senio Foundation (c/o Newman Theological College and St. Joseph Seminary, Edmonton).
