Toby (Anatoli) Dmytro Krysa
January 20, 1935 - September 1, 2020
Toby (Anatoli Dmytro) Krysa was the son of Victoria and John Krysa. He was born on January 20, 1935 in Edmonton, Alberta and passed away unexpectedly in Edmonton on September 1, 2020. Toby was a kind, patient, generous, and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
After attending Strathcona High School, he worked for and helped grow his father's business, John Krysa and Sons Ltd. After many years as a partner, Toby left the family business in 1976 to pursue his interests in real estate where he remained active until retiring in 2018. He was a successful, respected member of the business community, known for his honesty, integrity, and fairness. Toby enjoyed meeting and talking with all people and you were always greeted with a smile, and likely a Werthers candy. In addition to his business career, he loved working outdoors, especially at the farm. Whether he was seeding a crop, working in the garden, or negotiating an equipment sale or real estate investment, Toby was equally comfortable and happy wearing a suit jacket or coveralls.
Toby was devoted to his family and especially to his wife, Dallas. He was proud and supportive of his sons, Philip and Mark, and his grandchildren, Austin and Ellicia. He always had time for his family, and he also enjoyed visits with his friends and extended family and children, including his nieces and nephews. He offered his guidance with a smile, kindness and patience, never judging, always encouraging. His faith and heritage were important to him and he willingly supported those charitable efforts.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Hainstock's Funeral Home 9810-34 Avenue, Edmonton between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. In respect of Toby's wishes, there will be a private family service. In lieu of other tributes, donations are encouraged to a charity of one's choice. Expressions of sympathy can be forwarded to the family through www.hainstockedmonton.com
